Silver Jewellery Making
New courses now available!

Tutor:  Tina Yates
10am - 4pm
Saturday 11th June 2022
£70 plus materials

This is a day for those who would like to learn some basic silversmithing skills, including soldering, shaping, and texturing. These skills will then be used to make some simple pieces of jewellery, including two simple rings, cut out a shape for a small pendant, or, if time allows, two shapes for earrings. Principles of designing and knowledge of Hallmarking will also be covered.

 Tutor:  Tina Yates
Summer School
Monday 25th - Wednesday 27th July 2022
10am - 4pm each day
£168 plus materials, including refreshments and a two course lunch each day

The aim of this course is to be able to start designing and producing your own jewellery.  Everyone should be able to leave at the end of the three days with their own handmade jewellery.  For those who are total beginners, you will start with the principles of soldering, and you will make a textured ring. For those who have already done some simple jewellery making, the first day will be spent revising and assessing your current skill set. At the end of the day, we will discuss basic design skills, and what you would like to make on days 2 and 3. Materials extra, payable to tutor.

We are delighted to offer both of these wonderful courses, lead by Tina.
To book please either call us on 01954 288751 or email community@astreacottenham.org, and we can send your further details.
