Brand new Contemporary Textiles class running through the Summer Term
An exciting short course concentrating on the principles of wet felting for textile artists and creative stitchers. We will explore creative ideas for baubles, cords, loops and laces; richly textured surfaces, pockets, flaps, bags/ bowls; and nuno felt for layering.  The emphasis in this set of classes is on the experimental - exploring ways to develop unique felted fabrics.  This is a great class for newcomers but also an opportunity for those with some felting knowledge to develop ideas.  Led by Ricki Outis, who brings a wealth of textiles experience, this will be a fantastic opportunity to create a series of experimental 2 or 3D samples using wet felting that can stand alone or be developed by stitch.

The class will run on alternate Tuesdays, starting Tuesday 26th April from 10am - 3.30pm.  For more information go to the 'Arts and Crafts' tab on the left side menu here on our website.

I hope you can join Ricki for this wonderful Textiles class.
