Create your own unique textiles.  Dye your own rainbow threads and colour your own background fabrics.

This is an introductory course for complete beginners.  We will be looking at the following: dyeing silk / cotton threads, rainbow / space dyeing, graduated / shaded dyeing, transfer paints and colours from nature. The aim is for you to develop an understanding of some of the different textile colouring agents, when to use them and ways of using them creatively.   By the end of the course you will have several experimental pieces which you can assemble and use either as a reference book or for various sewing projects.

Whether your palette is bright and vivid or quiet and muted, this will open up a whole new world of colouring your own cloth and expand your creative boundaries.
