During this workshop we will be swimming in a sea of muslin, which will be distressed, manipulated, layered, stitched, and wrapped.  A challenging but fun workshop for those who have basic skills in free machine embroidery.

Requirements List

Work to a colour scheme

 Notebook and Pen

 Apron & Rubber Gloves

 Sewing Machine with tools and handbook (Please check that your machine is cleaned, oiled and in good working order)

 Spare pkt. of no. 90 sewing machine needles or topstitch 90 needles

 A bound wooden embroidery hoop

 An extension lead (if you have one)

 Basic sewing equipment

 Hand/machine embroidery threads as well as ordinary sewing threads that tone with your coloured muslin.  

 White or cream sewing cotton

 1 metre of white or cream muslin.

 Half metre of muslin in two different colours which work well together (could be hand or commercially dyed.) (Can be purchased from Tutor).

 One metre of white or coloured scrim 

 Half metre of water soluble fabric

A materials fee of £4.00 will be charged to cover the use of mixed media and other necessary materials
