Brief Description:
This course is both for beginners and for those with more experience.   Watercolour is the most popular medium, and for very good reason.  There is little to compare with the beauty of transparent colour washes, watercolours are handled in a way that is impossible with other mediums.  The course will have a definite bias towards traditional landscape but will also include still life, pen and wash, and flower painting. There will be plenty of new colour mixes, tips and ‘tricks of the trade’ for you to learn and enjoy.

Learning outcome:
The tutor will encourage you to create paintings from your own observations applying the ‘rules’ of design and composition.

Extra costs on the course:
Watercolour materials

What you need to bring to the first session:
If you have watercolour materials please bring these along to the first session.  The Tutor will go through on week one what you need to bring to subsequent weeks - so please do not go out and buy anything until you have been to the first class.

How progress & success will be recorded:
The tutor will photograph each picture and add to the student’s Individual Achievement Record.
